LG G3 specs and features officially showcased at a "secret" event in South Korea

LG G3 specs and features officially showcased at a "secret" event in South Korea

The LG G3 leaks are just non-stop, though we wouldn't categorize what we have here as a leak per se. Instead, it would appear that LG basically revealed its new G3 flagship at an alleged "secret" pre-announcement event at a Korean retailer, or so our tispter claims. This means that both specs and features are now public knowledge, though do keep in mind that LG has a knack for differentiating its home/away versions of its flagship, so specific changes may still happen.

Anyway, let's talk specs. As expected, the highlight of the LG G3 will be its 5.5-inch, 1440 x 2560 (QHD) pixel resolution screen, which will provide the super-crisp, 538 pixels per inch. Also as expected, the relatively big screen doesn't automatically mean a giant device -- instead, the G3's footprint is almost identical to that of the 5.2-inch Sony Xperia Z2, considering its dimensions of 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm.

The rest of the specs include a quad-core Snapdragon 801 and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB of internal storage (no info on microSD slot), and a 13-megapixel rear shooter with the company's improved Optical Image Stabilization +, along with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing cam with an "enhanced selfie mode". It would also appear that we were right in assuming that LG is planning on integrating a laser auto focus assist beam into the body of the G3, which will supposedly deliver fast focus even in low light scenarios. Lastly, keeping the lights of the Android 4.4 KitKat-based handset on is a 3000 mAh cell.
