PC Case Is Also a Desk
Taiwanese company Lian Li has announced two new, rather unique PC cases: The DK-01X and the DK-02X.
Both cases are made of aluminum and double as a pretty standard-looking work desk, cutting out a lot of clutter from your work area.
The DK-01X is 90cm (35.4 inches) long and supports one HPTX system, while the larger DK-02X is 125cm (49.2 inches) long, and can be used to install an additional Mini-ITX system.
Both cases have a slim optical drive bay on the left side and an array of USB 3.0 and audio ports on the right. The larger case also has additional 4 USB ports and audio ports on the left.
The cases have several other clever solutions, beating many standard work desks when it comes to versatility. The keyboard tray on the front can be adjusted to two different heights, and on the side there's a pocket which you can use to store away your keyboard and other gadgets.
The height of both cases/desks is 80.5cm (31.7 inches), but that can also be adjusted to 83.5cm (32.9 inches) if needed.
The top of the cases is removable and made of tempered glass, and the cases come with several pre-installed cooling fans and removable filters.
For extra-tidy computer geeks looking to buy a new PC and a new desk, the new Lian Li cases sound like a dream come true. One problem could be the price, which is pretty steep: $989 for the DK-01X and $1,189 for the DK-02X.
